I'm kind of freaking out here!

For those of you who know me, you know that I tend to get a little anxious when it comes to....well....everything. In order to curb some of that anxiety, I've decided to start packing now. I'm spending my Saturday doing laundry, ironing clothes, and pulling out other items that I might need to take. Luckily, my amazing friend Marilyn helped me come up with a basic list of the things I know that I need to bring.
My very "basic" list
We tried to come up with all the clothes and other things that are obvious, including various chargers, toiletries, jewelry, converter, hat, and other accessories. That's the easy part. I know myself, and I know that once I start pulling everything together, I'm going to throw things in my bag that I really don't need or can buy once I get there. I'm going to have to stay aware of how much room I have and what I really do need. Luckily, we'll have access to washers and dryers so I don't have to bring my entire wardrobe for the month! Now it's just a game of seeing how much I can fit into my bags!
My two bags. They seem kind of tiny now
that I'm looking at them!
USAirways allows for one free checked bag and a carry-on. I'm taking a big bag, obviously, but rather than backpack, I'm taking a smaller rolling bag for my carry-on. We will be taking lots of weekend trips so I thought it would be a good idea to take a smaller bag so I don't have to carry my huge one everywhere. Also, it will leave me more room to bring back purchases! Now I just want to make sure that I get everything that I need, I have to keep reminding myself that I'll be able to buy anything that I forget or decide can wait until I get there. For example, I'm not taking a hairdryer, shampoo/conditioner, and other heavier items in order to save room in my bag. I plan on buying those when we arrive! I think I have a pretty good plan of how to get everything done before I leave, but I know that I'll find some way to worry about all of this preparation! However, typing all of this out sure helps calm me down!
